This Journal is Kind of Friends Only

Meaning, some of my entries are locked to just friends (I don't want you strangers reading them), and some are public. If you want into the juicy (or not so juicy in my case) detailings of my life for some reason, feel free to drop a comment here, letting me know where you found me and I'll add you back

If you like fashion/fashion design, assorted weird J-Pop or J-Drama, and Audrey Hepburn movies, we should be friends basically.

Oh snap

Warp.
I made the video for this one since the song was a B-side and had no PV. Thus why it's pretty shitty and the mouth movements never match XD But I like it.

Lalala Shiawase no Uta (Happiness Song? lol)
I think this one is cute and I sound surprisingly not shitty for once.

My hair is red now. OMGZ

Sorry I'm not wearing makeup.

And I cut my bangs a little more since I decided they were still too long. Maybe like half an inch shorter now so they're not on top of my eyes.

I know this is random but I fucking love this background music. It's just so epic.

Massive win on Disney's part.

This movie is totally underrated too.

EDIT:

I stayed up until now because I turned on Beauty & the Beast with Catie.

And I decided I'm definitely going red (hair) because of The Little Mermaid. I want pretty, red hair ;_;
Soooo it's happening.

Okay...Random Story Time

House WTF
So, I have come to the conclusion that I just attract weirdos. It is becoming an inevitable part of my life. Not like, the sort of cool weird people I'd want to hang out with either, but the sort of, "I think this person may be a high functioning mentally handicapped" sort of person. And you know, I have no issues with mentally handicapped people, but I'm just not prepared for that sort of friendship. It'd be tough to handle.

Anyways, I'm at Walgreens (the one on Delaware across from Starbucks) because I needed pads. I decided I needed some shampoo and conditioner since I'm out and walk over to that aisle. Anyways, before I even step into the aisle the woman who is currently perusing the hair product section looks at me and goes, "Do you know anything about hairspray?"

This woman wasn't what I'd call a beauty queen. I'm not pretty or remotely good looking by any standard but yeah...no makeup, wearing a baggy T-shirt with some old sweats, hair pulled back into a ponytail (it looked greasey), and yeah. She seemed nice enough though, so I figured I'd be nice. I must just have this, "Hi, I work in retail!" please approach me look.

So yeah, I think this is a perfectly reasonably question to ask a stranger (at first). I say, "Not much, but I can recommend what I've used." I point out the brands I've used to her. I literally spend like 10 minutes of my time with this lady helping her pick out a hairspray. Seriously, I know nothing about hairspray and I even tell her I only know what I've used. She likes Dove so I do my best, "let's get this person out of here and just buy their shit," thing and tell her if she likes their products she should stick with a brand she knows and is comfortable with. She thanks me for my help and heads off.

So yeah, I finaaaally get out of that aisle (they didn't have my shampoo anyways--whores) and grab my pads. I know weird lady is at the register so I try to walk around for a bit. She is fucking at the register when I get their chatting up the cashier. Pretty much explaining to her her entire life story (why she needed the hairspray, how I helped her etc). Cashier looks a little put off and is very polite and is like, "Oh that's good. Well have a good night."

So, I get all cashed out, pay for my stuff and walk out. I see weird lady outside and debate about heading in again because I'm not in the mood to chit chat. Anyway, she's walking ahead of me, so I figure I can get to my car (WHY DID I PARK AT THE END OF THE LOT) before she can see me. Anyways, right as we get near my car, she fucking stops walking and turns around. She sees me and starts asking me all these questions like, "Where do you live?" I'm kinda weirded out and just want to go home so I make small talk for a bit and get into my car and go. I thought she was like, gonna ask for a ride home or something and I started freaking out 'cause you know, I don't like having strangers in my car. Granted, she seemed harmless and I can be nice but I'm not THAT nice.

So yeah...

That's happened before. Some weird guy came up to me while I was doing homework at Starbuck's and started asking me all these questions and if we could be friends (like the way a child would ask). And then asked for my phone number. I of course told him no. I felt bad because I think he was a bit off his rocker but I really just...eugh. I don't want to sound like an asshole here but I probably do.

Why don't normal people approach me? Seriously, I like making friends...just not one's that scare me. : /

Oh no

Haha, well, listen at your own risk.

This one is totally dedicated to my famiyl. Cause they all remember that terrible video of me when I was 5 in the Ariel costume.

I think I've improved maybe...a tiny bit.

EDIT: Took the filter off this. I just don't care anymore really. If you think I suck, you think I suck. I even think I suck. I have fun doing this nerdy shit so I'll continue doing this nerdy shit.

Also, dyeing my hair red. Because I <3 this movie and need to spread the Little Mermaid love.

I cut my bangs!

With manicure scissors.

I think it turned out well actually.

Forgive my face.

And my lack of makeup. It had all kinda worn off.

P&P
It seems like a good day to be productive.
I think I may attempt to get somethings done today.

Like a resume.
Maybe sew some stuff for the hell of it.
I dunno.
Maybe even READ something.
ALSO! Sort through my clothes (here and then go to my parents) and decide on "sell", "Good Will", and "keep" piles.

I think a nap is in order first.
(I passed out at like I dunno, 6ish today and then work up at 11. So I think a couple hours might do me good.)

Otherwise, I dunno.
I'm still super poor. And getting poorer, but there's not much I can do about it at this stage so w/e. I'll have to live with it.

I need to get my check from Ann Taylor but I don't want to drive out there and waste gas when I'm more or less as broke as one can be.

I really just want out of Buffalo. I'm so SICK of mundane.
I want more out of life than sitting at home playing WoW and occasionally working my really crappy job for even crappier money.

Also, I <3 Urban Outfitters for their really generous employee discount. 40% for anyone Nick deems deserves it basically. ^_^

Yay

I know I had a preview up earlier, so this is the entire thing.

It doesn't even sound like me wtf (singing the parts of the girl with the bangs and long hair--well sings first line 'cause there's too lol). There's a couple pitchy parts--we didn't use autotune in the final product. Combo of pitch shifter and chorus effect and multiple duplicated tracks. But anyways, pitchy but I'm happy overall.

My major beef with myself is that long held out "love". I was trying to keep her tone and couldn't hold out the note smoothly enough without putting more force behind it. It kinda failed.

Interesting Quotes

P&P
I do too much random research at 6 AM while being bored.

These are all from people who founded the country. I find these really interesting with how so many politicians now are trying to push God and the Bible as part of their campaigns. It's really scary how something like religion has completely warped the mind set of a country that had very few practicing Christians when it came into being.

If this is your belief, feel free to ignore me, but I really feel that religion has NO place in a government. The only use religion has for a government is any easy means of swaying public opinion and keeping society under control. It crushes the idea of open minded thought and keeps the public ignorant to what is going on around them.

"Of all the systems of religion that ever were invented, there is no more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifiying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory to itself than this thing called Christianity. "
--Thomas Paine

"What influence, in fact, have ecclesiastical establishments had on society? In some instances they have been seen to erect a spiritual tyranny on the ruins of the civil authority; on many instances they have been seen upholding the thrones of political tyranny; in no instance have they been the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wish to subvert the public liberty may have found an established clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate it, needs them not."
--James Madison

""I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of the abuses of grief which the history of mankind has preserved -- the Cross. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced!"
--John Adams

Just from those few--it's pretty much gathered that these men knew just how dangerous religion could be. Which is the exact reason the Constitution spelled out that there is no religious state. Religion is a very valuable tool to coerce people into believing what you want and I'm under the impression they were well aware of that--seeing how it ran rampant with corruption in Europe for so long.

I took ONE mythology class in college and can safely say I don't believe in anything in particular anymore because they're all generally the same concept re-written to one up whatever was the world religious view of the time. (example: Egyptians have 9 major gods, which are one-upped by the 10 plagues Moses brings down upon Egypt.) Giglamesh was written several thousands of years before the Bible and yet it's an exact replica to Noah's Arc. I mean, even look at Jesus, and his story is played out multiple times through out different religions. Similar to there was often a "sun" God, whereupon Jesus becomes the "son" of God, often depicted with a glowing halo around his head quite similar to how the sun appears from Earth. Christianity is supposedly monotheistic but do not Christians worship multiple gods? Saints, the trinity, etc...looks polytheistic to me.

I'm just saying, it's wonderful do believe in something. Really is. But I just find religion has been nothing but a stepping stone for world rulers to start wars, slaughter other civilations and so on. It's an ugly thing. Look at what's going on in the Middle East. That's all because of the religious dogma fundamentalists are warped into believing. I really feel like this world is going to go to hell because of religion. With the crazy Christians here fighting a "War on Terror" (terror is an idea--you cannot fight an idea wtf) that's just the only way it's going to go.

And I lol'd.

So, apparently there's a bit of drama regarding this and Beyonce's Halo. That I had no idea about.

Apparently this song was demo'd back in January. Beyonce heard the demo and called up the writer, asking for a track to be made for her that sounded like it.

She got her wish, recorded it in 2 hours and rushed the release so it'd beat the release date on Kelly's single.

WTF
Seriously? That's pretty shady. I understand wanting to make a good single, but is what she did really ethical? I personally don't think so and I think it's a pretty shitty move on her part. But hey, it's all about making money nowadays.

I'm so sick of Halo btw. I didn't like the song to begin with and it's STIlL being played all the time.

Kelly's song was better. Boo. And used less autotune. :D

I kept meaning to post this! Second on we did--working on the third.
I'm generally really proud of this group. I think we blend well and the voices fit what we're singing (in my opinion).

Plus, I'm the leader so I feel more involved since I started it up, went through auditioning people etc. It's a huge pain in the ass sometimes but the final product is always really nice I think.

And yes, I totally realize this is a song about eggs in hearts. It's an anime theme--so I can't really blame them for using the anime concepts XD

I neeed a pop filter (you'll have to forgive the static on all those P sounds >>)
And I need a new mic. Using a free mic from a karaoke game for PS2. I want the Blue Snowball but it's kind of expensive. For me at least. Birthday pleaaaase.

And it's really nice out. Good day for walking I think.

Hair Post!

My hair is a mess lately. I really need my bangs cut.

Also want to dye it red. Like--red, red. Think like a mildly toned down Haley Williams red.

On another note, I kinda wish I could afford to get something like this.

I just think it looks really pretty. But she definitely has extensions or something because it's just crazy thick and perfect looking.

Other than that, I am super tired. Sosososo tired.
Had a store meeting at Ann Taylor and stayed up super late. So I only slept for like an hour and then I've been up all day (since 6:30 ew).

Oh btw

If that NYC thing did work out, this is what it'd be:

I personally like it. Not just because I think Hyde is amazing but because it's a pretty mellow song. Reminds me of his old solo stuff and the slower L'arc songs.

So we should go. Seriously.
If I remember it's July 16th. That's really short notice so I dunno.

And I still refuse to believe he's like 40 (I think...he's around that age). He looks at least 10 years younger. I honestly thought he was like 25 during the 666 album.

EDIT:

I should be at work right now.
But oh lol! Went to go drive there and my tire was flat. Sitting there--flat. I drove home at like 11 last night and it was fine. By 2:30 PM today it's flat.

Been waiting for my dad to get here to help me but he hasn't even called yet and it's been almost an hour since I called him (but only like 40 minutes since I got off the phone with him). I still technically have to go to work--they had me scheduled until 7. It's kinda lame but I mean--what else am I supposed to do?

Oh and Morning Musume no Hyokkori Hyoutan-jima is like the most fun song ever. Epic lolz were had last night.
And I tried to explain Hello!Project to Catie. Good times XD It's kind of daunting. Took me forever to figure out all the groups.
